Launch of Ikenne General Hospital
What began as a humble community hospital has blossomed into a fully-fledged General Hospital, thanks to the relentless efforts of IDA, our former VP-Professor Yemi Osinbajo and the ongoing support from Ogun State Government. This health facility has become a cornerstone of medical care in Ikenne-Remo, providing accessible healthcare services to thousands of residents. It continues to offer essential healthcare, emergency services, and maternal care, contributing significantly to the wellbeing of our community. IDA’s vision and commitment to healthcare development laid the foundation for its transformation into a state-of-the-art medical institution.
Ikenne Expansion
Our plan is to encourage stakeholders to join us in expanding our current capabilities in increasing demand for high-quality constructions. Road / Street lights / General Community Project.
The Ikenne Development Association (IDA) has always prioritized the development of infrastructure in the community, and two of its most transformative projects have been the construction of roads and the installation of streetlights. For years, many parts of Ikenne struggled with poorly maintained roads that made transportation difficult, especially during the rainy season. Recognizing the need for change, the IDA spearheaded a road construction project aimed at improving accessibility and boosting local commerce.
With contributions from both the community and external donors, the project gradually reshaped Ikenne’s road network. New, durable roads were built, connecting remote areas to the town center, and transportation became easier and more efficient for residents. This improvement significantly enhanced the quality of life in Ikenne, providing better access to schools, markets, and health facilities.
Alongside the road project, the IDA initiated a street light installation program. Before the lights were installed, many parts of Ikenne faced complete darkness after sunset, making the streets unsafe and difficult to navigate.
