WELCOME
BECOME A MEMBER
The Ikenne Development Association (IDA) serves as the central body uniting various clubs, societies, and traditional age groups (egbe ibile) within Ikenne town.
Membership in the IDA is not granted to individuals directly; instead, individuals become members by joining one of these affiliated groups. Traditional age groups, known as egbe ibile, consist of individuals born within a three-year span in the community. These groups uphold community traditions and often participate in communal tasks. Social clubs and circles, on the other hand, have no specific age limits and it’s opened to individuals who can adhere to their constitutions and pay the required entrance fees. Once an individual joins any of these clubs or age groups, they are automatically part of the IDA. Kindly note that the intending member must be an indigene of Ikenne or married to a spouse that is an indigene.
For a social club or Egbe ibile to become a member of the IDA, it must pay a registration fee. Both are also required to pay annual fees and security levies.
For further information, kindly reach out to IDA HQ at Awolowo Square, ikenne Remo
